I attempt to explain the cat poop collector, a device which has puzzled me this week. No, you don’t get to know what’s wrong with my cat. It’s disgusting, but not fatal, and I hope will be cleared up with a couple of pills, soon.

Young Nora was being obstreperous, as is easy to see from this photo, and she got my little finger this morning as I was trying to take something breakable away from her. So I’ve given her a new identity, as below:

Still painting random faces, from DVDs, and my squirming imagination. Kind of enjoying it at the moment.

Some bonus kitty-cats as well.

If anyone cares, that strange object in the upper right-hand corner is a doodle of an Italian drinking fountain I made to illustrate an anecdote to someone. Coloured it in.

Nora was looking cute the other night. So I painted her. Was she THIS cute? Still, pretty darn cute.

More of the usual thing. A pilot woman, in front of a Battle-Star Galactica kind of thing.

I’ve scanned a lot of pictures I’ve been painting the last while, and am going to put them up on the blog step by step, maybe. That’s so I can post stuff every day! Or, I might put them up all at once. Who knows?

Didn’t blog for a while. Cause I was sick, and busy, then wasn’t doing much that pleased me. Still could be happier, but at least I’m painting some things. Not horribly thrilled with how the paper’s working. Maybe it’s always absorbed and lightened paint, but I thought that was how it worked, until I painted on some paper that didn’t do that (also wouldn’t take a wash, but this paper business is all compromise, I think!)

Anyhow, the little blue splatters on the rock guy picture were an accident, but they really helped the pic for me. The rest of all this is my trying to get back into watercolour, for whatever reason.

That last character was my Junior High School Shop/English teacher who was something of a right wing buffoon and really had it in for me. I survived, sort of.

I’m not relating to Sundays much. Thought I’d get some time off, but I’ve got to prepare for a meeting and some work. Still, I found time to sketch these things. Small cat, and some dame. I don’t call them watercolours because they involve the brush pen, and aren’t pure. I like modelling things in pure form, and not adding lines. But lines are essential, sometimes.

Anyhow, this is the thin crinkly paper, that can’t take much paint. Hope they’re all right.

The usual guys blankly staring, cats, and below, cute chicks. Just because I go out to events doesn’t mean I’m not a strange recluse. It just means there are a lot of events happening.

But the video stuff is fun. Takes a long time to upload. My next challenge there is finding music I can use legally, or at least with not bothering too many people….

A couple of the characters here are taken from Barbara Bradley’s book Drawing People: How to portray the clothed figure. Will have to talk about that, and some other books, some day.
