I’m not too happy with this pic, and I’m not going to tell you who I was trying to draw, because it doesn’t look like him. So, it becomes Generic Man with Helicopter. The ‘copter was inspired by some previous drawings you can find on the old blog site.
But doing it has taken me in a direction where I can see what’s needed to get a resemblance, and I’m hoping the next try will be much closer. It’s also being done on better paper than this one, which won’t ‘cockle’ as the watercolour people say. Or, at least as much (I’m too lazy to bother stretching or flattening these nonce sketches!). You can see the faint white patches on the darker areas, which happen when the paper bellies away from the scanner plate.
