Here’s another of those old strips of mine. Worked on at the comic jam, mainly by Rick Gagnon, over my scribbly pencils. Hence the odd faces here and there. Still funny, though. I’m running out of these, but have a few more tricks up my sleeve before I’ll have to start drawing stuff again.

Got this printed up and sent out, so I feel like I can “share” it now. Noting that other illustrators are doing more than one design. But aside from maybe painting a quick neighbourhood snowscape that’s it for me. Took me a while, because the challenge I set for myself was to learn more about […]
I’m an old boy, now, but I don’t feel like it. Part of feeling young at heart is through drawing all this crazy stuff. I’ve always loved looking at pictures and colourful, funny cartoons, so it’s a pleasure to draw them This coming year, I want to do more, and put them out more widely. […]

Into winter now. Can’t go out. So I’m painting things, and doing an awful Christmas card in Adobe Illustrator. Watching “Blow Up” by Antonioni. Wouldn’t mind being an irresponsible fashion photographer in Swinging London. Always liked drawing cowboys and horses. Suppose that’s my Alberta background coming out.

I’ve been messing around with vectors and other things, managing not to post. But here’s a drawing drawed with a good old fashioned dip pen (with brush pen outlines): And a brush pen horse. Trying to catch that equine grace:

I think that the simple titles are best for the SEO. (Search Engine Optimization). Not that I really care about how many people visit this, except in terms of raw vanity. I’m doing this mainly for myself, so I can look at it later, and think, “did I really draw THAT?” Sketchbook page, with parts […]

The usual guys blankly staring, cats, and below, cute chicks. Just because I go out to events doesn’t mean I’m not a strange recluse. It just means there are a lot of events happening. But the video stuff is fun. Takes a long time to upload. My next challenge there is finding music I can […]

Finished with the labour-intensive event chronicling for now, and back to boring little drawings. They don’t attract as many hits! Still, I’m very happy to have started using the Sony Vegas editing program, and mastered at least a few of the basics. (can’t imagine wanting to use many of those tacky special effects and wipes, […]

This is a comic I drew in about 10 minutes at the last Comic Jam. Then it took me about 4 days to decide what colours to put in. Enjoy!

When you’re wandering in dark places, always good to bring your fire-horse/dog/rhino pet. I suppose it’s an escaped Pokemon. This drawing below was on the back of the paper. I’m very cheap and don’t like wasting paper. Also, the question came up last night of where to store all these things. I don’t think they’re […]
…And evil cats! Devil Dog… Here’s smiling business guy: Anyhow, I’m offering you, in internet land, to have your own portrait, facebook photo, or twitter avatar, turned into your favourite monster, for hallowe’en, or indeed any time of year. Building the page right now where this would be possible. In the meantime, visit this page […]
Which is which? He’s maybe a missing link, or Dr. Zaius’ cousin. Beauty and the Beast? Just a quick morning sketch.

One of my sketchbooks is almost full. So, I went through it, painted new pictures, and coloured old ones. That means a real grab-bag of images. Which are attractive? Which “work?” It’s interesting to figure out. The things I like the most are the ones that help tell a story. That means comic “strips,” (none […]
