Morning Faces, and More
By Jack Ruttan in cats, color, Nora the cat, sketches, watercolour, womenSometimes I don’t trust the scanner to catch all the little subtleties in light watercolour tones. The colours on the palette look like little abstract comic panels.

Warm Day Sketches
By Jack Ruttan in color, montreal, ruttan's place, sketches, watercolor, watercolourHaven’t been able to write that much, lately. I’ve also got sketches and words from the Blue Met literary fest last weekend, but haven’t organised them. Overcome as I am by end-of-month nerves. Green Girl
By Jack Ruttan in color, digitalOne of the nice things about digital painting, which I think I’ve said before, is that it’s infinitely workable. This picture was sitting around for a while, looking lousy, but came to life for me with the leather jacket and streak of purple.
Further Landscapes
By Jack Ruttan in color, digital, sketches, watercolor, watercolourIn pure watercolours, and digital. These are more like blots. But I promise to pay attention to lighting, and colour, and make them more illusionistic.
