This is my black and white book, which doesn’t take colour all that well (except when it’s all I’ve got!). Still, it’s fun to draw in black and white with the brush pen, and various roller pens. Not as elite as the dip pen, however. But still pleasant to scratch back and forth, making those […]

Saw this pose on a poster for a play the other day, and drew my memory of it.

I’ve not been drawing tons. Trying to settle back into things, and relax. Cartoonists on Twitter are helping me do this, mainly through examples of their work. The figure in blue is mainly copied from a Love and Rockets comic panel. I think i like getting more into cartoony oddness, but enjoy trying to make […]

…Petals on a wet, black bough. Face sketches I’ve been doing, on the Metro, and at parties. Sometimes from TV!

Still really haven’t gotten the blog back on its wheels since the holiday break. I have a host of excuses! Mainly busy with work and stuff. But there are some interesting things coming up! That’s if I’m not distracted by twitter, or doing meaningless graphics in illustrator. Happy to be making at least a little […]

I made a grid on a piece of watercolour paper with the tape, and drew these cool little paintings. Yay!

Not posting much, I’m afraid. But I’m getting into drawing while I’m waiting for the metro, as these sketches suggest. The first one, done a while ago, I don’t think I put up: The second one was just yesterday, after returning home from an event. What great worn out and diverse faces you can find […]

I’m an old boy, now, but I don’t feel like it. Part of feeling young at heart is through drawing all this crazy stuff. I’ve always loved looking at pictures and colourful, funny cartoons, so it’s a pleasure to draw them This coming year, I want to do more, and put them out more widely. […]

Into winter now. Can’t go out. So I’m painting things, and doing an awful Christmas card in Adobe Illustrator. Watching “Blow Up” by Antonioni. Wouldn’t mind being an irresponsible fashion photographer in Swinging London. Always liked drawing cowboys and horses. Suppose that’s my Alberta background coming out.

Busy with stuff, not blogging much at the moment. Still drawing things, however. Even things as oddball as these two.

Okay, play a game of “Find the differences” here, with the image at the bottom of the last post. Really only 2. Spending altogether too much time on this. But it was fun to write that last post. So, here we go, with a little of the practice.

…when what you’re doing is putting up more sketches. But the post that gets the most visits is one called “Simple Cats,” so maybe I should try to title them in a descriptive way. Sounds boring, but stuff here is pretty low key. Like I’ve said, I’m really doing this a lot for myself, to […]

I’ve been messing around with vectors and other things, managing not to post. But here’s a drawing drawed with a good old fashioned dip pen (with brush pen outlines): And a brush pen horse. Trying to catch that equine grace:
